MANKATO, MINN. - USF Track & Field delivered a strong performance at the Maverick Invitational, collecting 10 first-place finishes. In addition, Emily Swanson, Tamia Horton, Kami Wadsworth, Kamry Lindsey, McKenna Comstock, Olivia Baumberger and Tyler Hiatt earned national provisional marks.
Women's Highlights
- Tamia Horton- Horton claims the crown in the 100m dash, with a time of 11.69, recording a national provisional mark. Tamia now sits #24 in the nation. In addition, Horton placed second in the 200m dash, with a time of 24.62, recording a new school record.
- Kamry Lindsey- Lindsey finished eighth in the hammer throw, with a throw of 46.03m (151-00). Kamry also picked up a first place finish in the discus throw, throwing 45.35m (148-09), recording a national provisional mark.
- Emma Thomas- Thomas placed eighth in the 800m run, with a time of 2:25.02.
- Kami Wadsworth- Wadsworth picks up a first place finish for the Cougars in the shot put, with a throw of 13.98 (45-10.50), recording a national provisional mark. Kami now sits #22 in the nation. Kami also placed second in the javelin, throwing 42.23m (138-06), recording a national provisional mark.
- Morgan Gehl- Gehl placed first in the 1500m run, with a time of 4:38.85.
- Mallory Salazar- Salazar finished third in the 5,000m run, with a time of 18:54.45.
- Emily Swanson- Swanson claims the title in the 100mH, with a time of 14.29. In the prelims, she ran a time of 14:04, recording a national provisional mark. Emily also placed fifth in the long jump, jumping 5.57m.
- Kendra Hall- Hall placed third in the triple jump, jumping 10.91m.
- Tierney Faulk- Faulk finished eighth in the 400mH, with a time of 1:07.35.
- Dani Minsaas- Minsaas placed sixth in the high jump, jumping 1.62m.
- Cameen McFarquhar- McFarquhar placed sixth in the 3,000m steeplechase, with a time of 12:53.77.
- McKenna Comstock- Comstock picks up another first place finish for the Cougars in the pole vault, vaulting 3.82m, recording a national provisional mark.
- Olivia Baumberger- Baumberger claims the javelin title, with a throw of 42.36m (138-11.00), recording a national provisional mark.
- Women's 4x400m Relay- Chloe Aanenson, Faith Rustad, Lillian McCone and Emma Thomas placed 2nd, with a time of 4:25.64.
Men's Highlights
- Benjamin Morrison- Morrison finished sixth in the 800m run, with a time of 1:55.68.
- Andrew Edwards- Edwards placed fourth in the hammer throw, throwing 50.25m (164-10).
- Tyler Hiatt- Hiatt claims the title in the shot put, with a throw of 17.45m (57-03.00), recording a national provisional mark. Tyler also placed first in the discus throw, throwing 51.04m(167-05.00), recording a national provisional mark.
- Denver Decker- Decker picked up a second place finish in the javelin throw, throwing 48.44m (158-11). Denver also finished first in the 400mH, with a time of 53.61.
- Brandon Stark- Stark placed second in the 400m, with a time of 49.15.
- Jay Rhodes- Rhodes placed eighth in the long jump, jumping 6.21m.
- Miles Olofson- Olofson finished fifth in the 1500m run, with a time of 4:04.81.
- Carter Friske- Friske finished 19th in the 100m dash, with a time of 11.63.
- Collin Dingsor- Dingsor placed fifth in the 100mH, with a time of 15.25.
- Parker Hahn- Hahn finished 12th in the 5,000m run, with a time of 16:59.00.
- Davieian Williams- Williams picks up a second place finish in the triple jump, jumping 13.57m.
- Men's 4x400m Relay- Gage Grohs, Jackson Drew, Aaden Nauman, and Chase Henderson placed fourth, with a time of 3:29.81.
