DES MOINES, IOWA. - The University of Sioux Falls Track and Field team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the 115th annual Drake Relays. Emily Swanson highlights the event, finishing third overall in the Heptathlon, with 5260 points. Multiple athletes also recorded national provisional marks.

Women's Highlights

•  Emily Swanson- Swanson competed in the Heptathlon, picking up a third place finish for the Cougars, with 5260 points. Emily also competed in the 100m hurdles prelim, placing 19th, with a time of 14.15, earning a national provisional mark. Additionally, Swanson placed 17th in the high jump, jumping 1.61m. 
• Tamia Horton- Horton placed third in the 100m dash prelim, with a time of 11.55, recording a national provisional mark. In the 100m dash finals, Tamia finished eighth, with a time of 12.36. 
• Ella Steussy- Steussy finished 13th in the triple jump, jumping 11.13m. 
• McKenna Comstock- Comstock placed 15th in the pole vault, vaulting 3.52m. 
• Kami Wadsworth- Wadsworth picked up a second place finish in the women's javelin throw university/ college, with a throw of 41.98 (137-9). In the shot put, Kami placed 14th, throwing 12.99m (42-7.50).
• Kamry Lindsey- Lindsey placed sixth in the discus throw, throwing 47.81m (156-10). With this throw, Kamry recorded a national provisional mark. 
• Kayla VanOsdel- VanOsdel finished 17th in the shot put, with a throw of 12.45 (40-10.25).
• Abbi Webb- Webb placed 15th in the long jump, jumping 5.49m. 
• Olivia Baumberger- Baumberg finished ninth in the women's javelin throw championship, with a throw of 39.43 (129-4). 
• Women's 4x800m Relay- Chloe Aanenson, Faith Rustad, Emma Thomas, and Morgan Gehl, placed 11th with a time of 9:32.63.  
• Women's DMR- Morgan Gehl, Faith Rustad, Chloe Aanenson, and Maddie Swanson, placed fifth, with a time of 12:19.53. 
• Women's 4x200 Relay- Paige Haack, Tierney Faulk, Ellie Tramp, and Mackenzie Everson, placed 15th, with a time of 1:42.68. 
• Women's 4x100m Relay- Paige Haack, Ellie Tramp, Kendall Anderson, and Tamia Horton placed seventh in the women's 4x100m relay final, with a time of 47.74. 

Men's Highlights

• Jonny Cheney- Cheney finished tenth in the Decathlon, ending with a total of 6220 points. 
• Micade Shumway- Shumway placed eighth in the 10,000m, with a time of 30:41.27.
• Jay Rhodes- Rhodes placed 18th in the triple jump, jumping 13.14m. 
• Tyler Hiatt- Hiatt placed ninth in the Men's shot put championship, throwing 16.69m (54-9.25), recording a national provisional mark. In the discus throw, Tyler placed 13th, throwing 49.41m (162-1). 
• Men's DMR- Miles Olofson, Brandon Stark, Ethan Schwankl and Benjamin Morrison, placed 12th, with a time of 10:12.35.
