VERMILLION, S.D. -  The USF Track & Field team participated in the USD Early Bird meet this weekend. The Cougars picked up multiple top-ten finishes, several athletes earned personal bests and Tamia Horton claimed the victory in the 100m Dash.

Women's Highlights

• Tamia Horton- Horton claims the crown in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.94. She also placed 5th in the 200m Dash with a time of 25.76.
• Kendall Anderson- Anderson places fourth in the 100m hurdles with a personal best time of 14.76.
• Abbi Webb- Webb picks up two fifth place finishes. In the high Jump she reached a mark of 1.63m. In the long jump she jumped 5.51m
• Emily Swanson- Swanson finished fourth in the 400m with a personal best time of 59.72. She also finished 4th in the 200m with a time of 25.95.
• McKenna Comstock- Comstock places fourth in pole vault, totaling 3.81m.
• Kami Wadsworth- Wadsworth finished fourth in the shot put, with a throw of 46.86m (43-00.25). 
• Ella Steussy- Steussy places fifth in the triple jump, with a jump of 10.90m.
• Olivia Baumberger- Baumberger picks up a second place finish for the Cougars, placing second in the javelin throw, throwing 44.44m (145-10).
• Kamry Lindsey- Lindsey placed fourth in the discuss throw, with a throw of 47.46m (155-8), recording a national provisional mark. Kamry now sits 13th in the nation. In addition, she also placed ninth in the hammer throw with a throw of 46.86m (153-9). 

Men's Highlights

• Andrew Edwards - Edwards finishes sixth in the discus throw, with a throw of 44.55m (146-06). In the shot put he also placed sixth, throwing 15.11m (49-07.00). 
• Ben Mandel- Mandel places sixth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.08.
• Jonny Cheney- Cheney finished sixth in the high jump, jumping 1.86m. In the long jump, he finished eighth, jumping 6.48m. He also finished 16th in the 100m DASH with a time of 11.18.
• Miles Olofson- Olofson finished fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:57.35 which is his personal best. In the 1500m he placed 24th with a time of 4:04.12. 
• Denver Decker- Decker placed third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.26. In the javelin throw he also placed third with a throw of 50.23 (164-09). 
• Micade Shumway- Shumway picks up a second place finish in the 5000m with a time of 14:55.41, also clocking a personal best.
