USF Distance Crew Paces Effort at Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The University of Sioux Falls track & field teams competed at the Sioux City Relays on April 10–11, turning in a series of distance performances highlighted by strong finishes in the steeplechase events.

Senior standouts Parker Hahn and Mallory Salazar led the way for the Cougars, each earning top-six finishes in the 3000m steeplechase. Hahn placed sixth on the men's side, while Salazar secured a fourth-place finish and Cameen McFarquhar placed fifth to pace the women. In the 800m, Bryson Canton posted the top finish for the men, while Brooklyn Koll led the women's group.


Key Performances

Parker Hahn delivered a top performance in the men's 3000m steeplechase, crossing in 10:29.54 to place sixth overall. On the women's side, Mallory Salazar continued her steady season with a fourth-place finish in 12:30.85, while Cameen McFarquhar followed closely behind in fifth.

In the 800m, Bryson Canton paced the Cougar men with a time of 1:57.39, leading a deep group that saw multiple Sioux Falls runners finish in a tight pack. Brooklyn Koll led the women with a 12th-place finish in 2:20.71, with Chloe Aanenson adding an 18th-place showing.

The Cougars also competed in the 10,000m, where Dylan Saur led the men, and Anjalie Aho recorded the top finish for the women.
