Cougars Add National Marks, Event Title in Yankton

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls track & field teams turned in another productive outdoor showing Wednesday at the Mount Marty Twilight, highlighted by an event title, multiple runner-up finishes and several nationally relevant performances.

The Cougars were led by Lyndi Koosman, Collin Dingsor, Delanie Van Driel and Peyton Hanson. Koosman captured the women's triple jump title with a mark of 11.60m that ranks No. 60 in NCAA Division II, while Dingsor placed second in the men's 110-meter hurdles in 14.73. Van Driel added a runner-up finish in the shot put and Hanson cleared 3.58m in the pole vault to move to No. 76 in Division II this season.


Key Performances

Koosman headlined a strong day for the Cougar jump crew, winning the women's triple jump while teammate Kendra Hall added a third-place finish. Hall also placed fifth in the long jump, where Cadence Nuttbrock matched her mark in a tie for fifth, and Kendra King added a fourth-place finish.

Dingsor continued his strong outdoor campaign with a runner-up finish in the hurdles, while Hessel Andringa led the men's horizontal jumps with a third-place showing in the long jump. In the throws, Van Driel placed second in the shot put and Maiya Fredrickson added a personal best in the event, while Jackson Gacke recorded top-20 finishes in both the discus and hammer throw.

The vault group added another highlight behind Hanson's runner-up finish and nationally ranked clearance, while Janna Roberts added points in sixth. On the distance side, Mallory Salazar and Cameen McFarquhar placed second and third in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase, while Gage Grohs led the men in the 800 meters with a seventh-place finish.
