DES MOINES, IOWA –
Mason Phillips posted a NCAA DII provisional mark (3:47.58) in the men's 1,500-meter dash as the University of Sioux Falls Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Teams concluded day one of the Drake Relays on Thursday (April 25).
Three USF athletes competed in the opening day of the Drake Relays while two athletes also competed yesterday (April 24) in the Minnesota Women's Twilight Meet.

Taryn Ceglowski was tripped up in the women's 1,500-meter run, but still posted a 26
th overall finish with a time of 4:53.06.
At the Minnesota Women's Twilight Meet held on April 24, USF sophomore
Chloe Peterson took first in the long jump (5.39-m, 17' 8.25") and 100-meter dash (12.26) while teammate
Sarah Troescher took second in the 100-meter dash with a 12.36 clocking.
Men's team results
Phillips highlighted the USF men's team performances with his NCAA provisional qualifying effort. The All-American distance runner clocked a 3:47.58 for an NCAA DII provisional mark and took second overall in the men's 1,500-meter race. The only runner to beat Phillips in the event was Jed Hekler, a DI runner from Wichita State, who recorded a time of 3:47.46.
Senior
Billy Beseman ran a personal record time of 1:53.98 in the men's 800-meter dash as he claimed 12
th overall in the event.
USF will continue with day two of the Drake Relays tomorrow (April 26) and send athletes to the Simpson College Kip Janvrin Invite in Indianola, Iowa.
