BURNSVILLE, MINN. – University of Sioux Falls Track and Field's Tristan Zawadzki was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week following his standout performance at the South Dakota Challenge (April 6) according to the league announcement today.
 
A redshirt-junior exercise science major from San Diego, Calif., Zawadzki highlighted the day for USF at the USD Challenge on Saturday with a fourth place finish and an NCAA provisional height of 5.16 meters (16' 11") in the men's pole vault. Only DI athletes surpassed his bar height at the invite. Zawadzki ranks fourth in the NCAA DII after his performance on Saturday, and is ranked number one in the NSIC.
 
This is Zawadzki's first NSIC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor and second honor overall (NSIC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Feb. 12).
 
USF Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team's will next compete in the Sioux City Relays on April 12-13 in Sioux City Iowa.
