MANKATO – The USF Track & Field team wrapped up their weekend at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi with the women placing third out of 16 and the men fifth out of 14.

TRACK EVENTS

• For the women, Khot Juac and Morgan Gehl paved the way in the mile with fifth and sixth place finishes. Juac picked up a career best in the mile with a time of 5:03.52 while Gehl followed close behind with a time of 5:06.77.

• Jakob Hanna once again led the Cougars in the men's mile with a time of 4:10.15 and a second place finish. David Ecker placed fifth with a time of 4:17.25.

• Ben Mandel picked up a fourth place finish with a time of 8.30, just .04 shy of his career best.

• Annika Aho, Cassidy O'Meara, Emily Swanson and Emma Kenkel teamed up for a third place finish in the 4x400 with a time of 4:05.06. Jessica Lutmer, Gracie Bucher, Tianna Voigt and Khot Juac nabbed a fifth place finish with a time of 4:18.13.

• Ben Mandel, Collin Dingsor, Denver Decker and Cody Lustig paired up for a fourth place finish in the 4x400 with a time of 3.29.88.

FIELD EVENTS

• Abbi Webb and Emily Swanson placed in the top five of the women's high jump. Both Webb and Swanson landed a 1.64 jump with Webb finishing fourth and Swanson fifth.

• Tyler Hiatt picked up a second place finish in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.60 meters. Hiatt also placed fourth in the weight throw with a throw of 17.71 meters.

UP NEXT

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend as they hit the road to compete in the Bearcat Open in Maryville, Missouri as well as the Ted Nelson Classic in Mankato, Minnesota.
