SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Six USF Track & Field athletes earned NSIC All-Conference honors with Tyler Hiatt also being named the 2023 NSIC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.
"Tyler's performance this season is a product of hard work and perseverance," stated throws coach Alissa Rausch. "He works hard day in and day out to accomplish his goals, all while being a great teammate."
Hiatt, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, had yet another outstanding season including his most recent performance at the NSIC Outdoor Championships. Recording 26 total points along with one first place finish and two second place finishes, Hiatt was named the NSIC Outdoor Championships High Point Scorer. He recorded a career best in the hammer throw this season with a 174'11" toss and currently holds two school records in the shot put and discus throws and sits second in the hammer throw.
"We're super excited about the performances our athletes had this season," Doug Petersen, Director of Track & Field, stated. "They performed beyond our expectations and they really stepped up for us this year. We're excited to watch them continue their success."
All Conference performers consist of the top three place winners in each event at the conference meet.

Men's Discus – Tyler Hiatt 2nd place 50.66m/166-02ft*
Men's Hammer – Tyler Hiatt 2nd place 53.31m/174-11ft
