SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sioux Falls (5-2, 4-2 NSIC) returned home this weekend claiming their 100th NCAA Division II win following a 35-21 win over Concordia-St. Paul (2-4, 2-3 NSIC) this afternoon.
USF extended their series streak against CSP to 16-1 and advance to a 2-game winning streak this season.
SCORING RECAP
The scoring started late in the second quarter when Camden Dean broke free for a 49-yard rushing touchdown, capping a 4-play, 75-yard drive. Nick Hernandez's extra point tied the game at 7-7 heading into halftime.
Sioux Falls came out strong in the third quarter, with Dylan Rudningen scoring on an 11-yard touchdown run after a quick 4-play, 54-yard drive. Hernandez's PAT extended the Cougars' lead to 14-7. Moments later, Dean added his second rushing touchdown of the day, an 8-yard run, following an 8-play, 64-yard drive, pushing the score to 21-7.
In the fourth quarter, Dean connected with Rudningen for a 25-yard touchdown pass, capping a 9-play, 74-yard drive to make it 28-14 while also helping USF hit a milestone with 20,000 points throughout 104 seasons of football. Shortly after, Christian Nash added a 19-yard rushing touchdown on a 3-play, 25-yard drive. With Hernandez's fifth successful PAT, Sioux Falls secured a commanding 35-14 lead.
