SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Football and head coach Jim Glogowski are excited to announce the addition of transfers Peyton Ihns and Brady Koupal

"I'm excited to add two more portal additions to our squad this season," stated Glogowski. "Brady is a Brandon Valley native that we're honored to welcome back to the Sioux Falls area and we're stoked to welcome Peyton to the Cougar Football family. We know both will make an immediate impact for us and we're excited to get to work."

Ihns, a long snapper, joins the Coo following two seasons at Concordia-St. Paul where he started in all 11 games as a freshman followed by 10 games his sophomore season. Throughout his career with the Golden Bears, he recorded four total tackles and was twice named the CSP Special Teams Player of the Week as well as earning NSIC All-Academic honors.

Ihns graduated from Crestwood High School in Cresco, Iowa where he was a three-sport athlete and seven-time letterwinner in football, basketball and track & field. The Cadets football team captain helped lead his team to a state playoff appearance in 2020 and was also named to the All-District Academic team and National Honors Society.

Koupal joins USF after spending two seasons with the University of South Dakota as an offensive lineman. The Brandon native was named to the Missouri Valley Honor Roll and will join the Coo with three years left of eligibility.

Koupal graduated from Brandon Valley High School where he helped lead the Lynx to the 11AAA state championship in 2020 and a runner-up finish in 2021. He was named to the All-Metro and All-Conference teams his senior year and was a member of the National Honor Society. Koupal also competed in basketball, track & field, powerlifting as well as the ping pong club.
