SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – USF Men's Wrestling fell, 32-9, tonight against MSU Moorhead. The Cougars move to 5-10 on the season and 0-7 in NSIC matchups. 

Jaxton Packer fell to Clayson Mele at 125-pounds in a 5:34 fall. Packer moves to 11-9 on the year, 2-5 in duals and 0-5 in NSIC matchups. 

At 133-pounds, Daniel Parra Jr. fell to #17 Ryan Henningson in a 2:04, 17-2 tech fall. Parra moves to 1-10 on the season, 0-8 in dual matchups and 0-3 against NSIC opponents. 

At 141-pounds, #20 Jordon Oehme fell to Pedro Velazques in a 4-1 decision. Oehme moves to 12-9 on the year, 8-7 in dual settings and 2-5 in NSIC matchups. 

Sir Brandon Watts picked up the first win of the night for The Coo at 149-pounds. Watts scored first against Cody Wienen before giving up a reversal and responding with one of his own plus four nearfall points to take a 9-2 lead at the end of the first period. Wienen recorded an escape in the second and a takedown in the third, but Watts was able to secure the 9-6 decision to advance to 5-3 on the season 2-1 in dual settings and 2-0 against NSIC opponents. 

Lincoln Fink fell to Jacob Thomas at 157-pounds in an 8-4 decision. Lincoln moves to 12-15 on the year, 4-11 in duals and 0-5 in NSIC matchups. 

At 165-pounds, Cooper Sanders defeated Jacob Reinardy in an 8-3 decision. Sanders opened the match with a quick takedown to finish the first period with a 3-1 lead before landing another takedown in the second along with an escape and ride time point in the third. Sanders moves to 15-12 on the year, 6-9 in dual settings and 1-6 against NSIC opponents. 

Grant Moraski battled Mason Gode at 174-pounds but fell in a 15-7 major decision falling to 9-12 on the year, 5-6 in dual matchups and 0-5 in NSIC matches. 

At 184-pounds, Daevon Vereen controlled the first period against Wyatt Powell before getting stuck in the second period and falling in a 3:15 pin. Vereen moves to 10-7 on the season, 5-5 in dual settings and 1-3 against NSIC opponents. 

Stetson Davis fell to William Price at 197-pounds in a 5:00, 16-0 tech fall and moves to 5-16 on the year, 1-13 in duals and 0-6 in NSIC matches. 

Isaiah Laguna closed out the night with a win over Isaiah Wright at 285-pounds. Laguna was awarded a penalty point in the first while earning an escape point in the second. With a takedown and ride time in the third, Laguna advances to 13-10 on the year, 6-8 in dual matchups and 2-4 against NSIC opponents.

The Cougars will head to Southwest Minnesota State next Friday, February 7th before returning to Sioux Falls to take on Augustana at the Elmen Center on February 13th for their final dual of the season.
