SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls men's wrestling team faced a tough test on Thursday night, falling to No. 20 Northern State, 38–7, in dual action inside the Stewart Center. The Wolves won eight of the ten bouts, using a combination of technical falls, pins, and decisions to secure the road victory.

Northern State jumped out early with back-to-back technical falls at 125 and 133 pounds, as Sloan Johannsen and Teagan Block each earned bonus-point wins. At 141 pounds, Krayle Stormer continued the Wolves' momentum with a 5–0 decision over Jordon Oehme, followed by a major decision from Rudy Lopez at 149.

The Wolves added another decision at 157 before USF got on the board at 165 pounds. Luke Swanson turned in the Cougars' top performance of the night, defeating Izaak Hunsley by a 14–3 major decision to cut into the deficit.

Northern State responded with three straight falls at 174, 184, and 197 to extend its lead heading into the final bout. USF closed the dual on a positive note at heavyweight, where Stetson Davis secured a hard-fought 9–7 decision over Nathan Schauer to round out the scoring.

Two extra matches were contested before the dual, giving both teams additional mat time.
