BROOKINGS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls men's and women's indoor track & field teams delivered a strong showing at the SDSU Indoor Classic, highlighted by two school records and multiple nationally-ranked marks against a deep field in Brookings.

The Cougars' biggest highlight came in the throws, where junior Andrew Edwards turned in a historic performance in the weight throw. Edwards won the event with a school-record toss of 20.56 meters (67-5.50), a national provisional mark that also ranks among the top performances in NCAA Division II this season.

USF also made a statement on the track with a school record in the men's 4x400 relay. The quartet of Micah Holien, Jensen Hyronimus, Brandon Stark, and Jonny Cheney raced to a time of 3:15.11 to place third overall, setting a new program standard and earning a national provisional mark while landing inside the Division II top 35.

The men also showcased quality depth across the sprints and middle distances. Holien posted one of the top open marks of the weekend by taking second in the 200 meters on Friday (22.12), while Stark added a third-place finish in the same race (22.18) before placing fifth in the 600 meters with a personal-best time of 1:19.37. Ethan Schwankl led the men in the 800 meters with a fifth-place finish on Saturday (1:57.25), and the Cougars' 4x800 relay team placed third overall in 7:53.35.

On the women's side, senior Tamia Horton continued her standout indoor season by winning the 60 meters. Horton qualified through prelims before taking first in the final with a time of 7.45. In the field events, Erika Imdieke delivered one of the top finishes of the weekend for USF, placing second in the high jump with a season-best clearance of 1.63 meters that earned a Division II national ranking.

The Cougars also produced nationally-ranked performances in the vaults and triple jump. Peyton Hanson posted a personal best of 3.75 meters in the pole vault to place fourth, earning a Division II ranking. Lyndi Koosman added a strong effort in the triple jump, placing ninth with a season-best mark of 11.27 meters that also landed on the national list.

USF closed the meet with solid relay efforts on the women's side as well, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 4x800 relay (9:46.92). The women's 4x400 relay team rounded out the weekend with a season-best time of 4:05.56.
