WAYNE, Neb. – The University of Sioux Falls men's and women's indoor track & field teams put together an impressive day of competition at the Wildcat Invite, highlighted by event wins, NCAA provisional marks, and multiple personal records across the sprints, middle distance, and field events.

The Cougars were led on the men's side by freshman Micah Holien, who continued his breakout indoor season by winning the 60 meters in a personal-best time of 6.90 seconds. Holien also placed eighth in the 400 meters with another PR, showcasing his versatility early in the year. In the hurdles, senior Collin Dingsor added a runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 8.48 seconds after advancing through prelims earlier in the day.

USF's sprint and middle-distance depth was on full display throughout the meet. Brandon Stark delivered one of the top performances of the day, finishing second in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 48.49 seconds, a mark that ranks inside the NCAA Division II top 55. Ethan Schwankl paced the Cougars in the 800 meters with a sixth-place finish and a season-best time of 1:58.01, while Bryson Canton continued his strong indoor campaign by placing second in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:16.93.

On the women's side, senior Tamia Horton stole the spotlight by sweeping the 60 meters, winning both the prelims and finals. Horton clocked a 7.51-second victory in the final, earning an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark. She also doubled back to place seventh in the 200 meters, capping another standout weekend.

The Cougars' women continued to shine in the field events. Peyton Hanson delivered a major highlight by winning the pole vault, clearing 3.72 meters to set a facility dome record while earning an NCAA Division II provisional  mark and sitting within the top-30 in all of Division II. In the throws, Delanie VanDriel captured first place in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 17.20 meters, ranking inside the NCAA Division II top 35 nationally. Tobi Peterson added a third-place finish in the shot put with a season-best throw of 13.24 meters.

Middle-distance success rounded out the women's performances, as Chloe Aanenson placed second in the 1000 meters with a dome-record, personal-best time of 3:03.91. Faith Rustad and Brooklyn Koll both recorded season-best marks in the 800 meters, finishing fourth and seventh, respectively.
