ALLENDALE, MICH. -- Four-time All-American
Emma Hertz of the University of Sioux Falls Track and Field Team competed but did not advance to the final in the discus at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Outdoor Championships on May 28 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in
Allendale, Michigan.

Hertz, who fouled on her three discus throws today, will now set her sights on the shot put in which she is ranked seventh in DII. A junior psychology and coaching major, Hertz will throw in the second heat of the women's shot put finals at 4 pm CST on Saturday, May 29 in the second session of the day.

This spring, Hertz has set school records in the discus (175-10 – 53.60m) and the hammer throw (184-10 – 56.33m). She has three
All-NSIC honors, four shot put titles, four discus titles and two hammer titles as well as 17 DII provisional marks in the three events. With three
All-NSIC honors at the
NSIC Outdoor Championship, she helped lead USF to seventh place in the women's team competition.
