NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2023 NCAA Division II Track & Field All-Academic teams and student-athletes. Both Sioux Falls men and women programs were honored along with eight student-athletes.
For the women, Olivia Baumberger, Khot Juac, Kamry Lindsey, Natalie Meyers, Cassidy O'Meara and Emily Swanson were all honored followed by David Ecker and Jakob Hanna for the men. In order to be considered for individual recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition, completion of at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution, achievement of an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay) for either the indoor or outdoor season.
The USF women posted a 3.626 team GPA to sit 12th out of 138 DII programs while the men's program finished with a 3.313 GPA to finish 34th out of 112 DII programs.
