MANKATO, MINN. - Sioux Falls (4-2, 3-2 NSIC) upset #7 Minnesota State (5-1, 4-1 NSIC) on the road to spoil their homecoming, 40-36.
"It's an emotional win, but it also means a lot," stated head coach Jim Glogowski. "We haven't played our best football the last two weeks, so we knew we needed to come in here and get back to playing Cougar Football. I give a lot of credit to our offense because needed to score points this weekend and that's exactly what we did. We're trying to create a mentality and a culture here at Sioux Falls and each and every one of these athletes has bought in to the process. Wins like this prove that there are big things coming for The Coo."
USF picked up just their fourth win in program history over the Mavericks, all of which have come on the road in Mankato.
