VERMILLION –
Emma Hertz won two titles and had three NCAA DII provisional marks while the University of Sioux Falls Track and Field Team won seven titles with eight program top-10 marks at the University of South Dakota Twilight Meet on Wednesday night at Lillibridge Track Complex. In total, USF had four NCAA DII marks.
Emma Hertz won both the discus and shot put with NCAA DII provisional marks. She won the discus with a throw of 49.72m-163-01.75 which ranks third all-time at USF and is her second best throw outdoors this season. She also had an NCAA DII provisional mark in winning the shot put at 14.95m – 49-00.75, which is her second best throw outdoors in 2021. In addition, Hertz was second in the hammer throw at 52.28m - 171-06.25, which was another DII provisional mark and her throw fourth all-time at USF.
Jaimie McNamee had two top 10 program marks as she was seventh in the discus at 44.03m – 144-05.5, which ranks eighth all-time at USF. And, McNamee also was seventh in the hammer throw with another top-10 program mark with her throw of 51.13m – 167-09.
Bailey Rudebusch also had a top-10 throw in finishing 10
th in the hammer throw at 47.94m – 157-03.5
Miranda Phipps had an NCAA provisional mark for the second time as he had a throw in the javelin at 42.44 m – 139-03, which is her best throw of the season.
Bailey Rudebusch was third in the javelin with a toss of 36.40m - 119-05 for a top-10 mark at USF.
In the high jump,
Taylor Stoltz won her third title of the outdoor season by going 1.57m – 5-02 and winning the event with a jump that ranks fifth all-time at USF. However, she tied the school record of 5-05 on April 9 at the South Dakota Challenge.
In the triple jump,
Cassidy Noeldner captured the title in 10.39m – 34-01.25. USF also had a titlist in the long jump as
Natalie Meyers won the event but with a personal best and the fifth best jump of all-time at USF of 5.69m - 18-08.
Emily Swanson captured her first title in the pole vault with a personal-best of 3.42m – 11-02.50.
