"It was a good meet for us. It was exciting to see Tyler (Hiatt) break the school record and to see
Emily Swanson do extremely well in the pentathlon. Overall, it was a good solid effort as we were pleased with each team's finishes. We had some great performances and some that were average but the NSIC is crazy competitive. I think everybody is happy how the two days went for us," he said.
In his first NSIC IDTF Championship, Hiatt set a school record (Jordon Bents, 2014, 57-08.25) in the shot put with a throw 17.63 meters - 57-10.25, which placed him second and with an NCAA DII provisional mark.
