SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls Indoor Track & Field (IDTF) will have split action on Friday and Saturday, with the most of the team going to the Minnesota State for the Mark Schuck Multi & Open, and seven athletes going to the Colorado School of Mines Winter Classic & Open with assistant coach
Connor Stumm.
On Friday and Saturday, USF will be looking to build on their strong performances from the SDSU Division II Challenge a week ago in Brookings. Headlining the team's time in Brookings were
Jacob Morse in the 60M hurdles and
Tristan Zawadzki in the men's pole vault. Morse, a senior native of Elizabeth, Colo., hit a time of 8.13 in the 60M Hurdles, an NCAA Provisional Mark for IDTF (min. 8.21). Also hitting an NCAA Provisional mark was Zawadzki, a redshirt senior from San Diego, Calif. The benchmark for NCAA Provisionals in the pole vault is 4.77m, which Zawadzki cleared by 0.01 (4.78m).
Along with the provisional marks by Morse and Zawadzki, three more Cougars claimed first in their respective events. Junior
Taryn Ceglowski emerged victorious in the 800M with a time of 2:17.10, senior
Zach Lundberg earned first in the mile, clocking in at 4:17.97, and sophomore
David Ecker clearing a mark of 9:01.13 in the 3K.
Though most of the group is in Mankato, Minn., for the Mark Schuck Mutli & Open two-day meet, the Cougars also sent seven athletes to Golden, Colo., to partake in the Mines Winter Classic & Open.

Zach Lundberg will all travel to Colorado with assistant coach Stumm to participate in three events; Distance Medley Relay, Women's Pentathlon, and jumps.
After the weekend, USF will have another split squad weekend, with some of the team going to Lincoln, Neb., for the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite two-day event, and the rest going to the Minnesota State Ted Nelson Classic next Saturday.
