MANKATO, MINN./GOLDEN, COLO. – The University of Sioux Falls Men's and Women's Track and Field squads had a solid day of performances with split squads at the Colorado Mines Winter Classic and Multi-Event and the Mark Schuck Open and Multi.
At the Colorado Mines Winter Classic and Multi-Event on Jan. 31, the Cougars had several standout performances which was led by the Men's DMR. In the 4K DMR, the team of senior

Logan Hansen and senior
Zach Lundberg clocked a 10:26.60 for second place. Due to altitude that time actually converts to 10:02 and is a NCAA DII Provisional Mark.
Also for the men's team, sophomore
Casey Hackett was 17
th in 6.46 meters (21'2.50).

Emily Olson and freshman
Jaliah Brice-Moore finished in the top eight of the women's pentathlon. Olson was fifth with 3,061 points. Her totals included 60 hurdles, 9.14; high jump – 1.57 meters or 5'1.75; shot put – 9.46 meters or 31.0.50; long jump – 5.34 meters or 17'6.25; and 800 meters – 3:03.73. Brice Moore was eighth with 2,789 points. Her results included: 60 hurdles, 9.54; high jump – 1.45 meters or 4'9; shot put – 8.16 meters or 26'9.25; long jump – 5.03 meters or 16'6 and 800 meters – 2.51.71.
At the Mark Schuck Open and Multi at MSU, the USF Women's Team is second in team points with 33 after day one. One of the reasons for the high placement as a team was the victory in the Women's 4K DMR by the team of freshman

Also for the USF Women's Team, three individuals placed in the 300-meter dash and was led by junior
Mercy Oyadare, who was second in 43.00. Also in the race sophomore
Jasmine Harris was fourth in 45.73 while sophomore
Zoe Cigard claimed fifth in 46.09.
In the 400 meter hurdles freshman
Meara Beighley was third in 1:16.13. USF also had two runners in the women's 3K as freshman
Karlee Simmons was 12
th in 11:01.60 and sophomore
Sarina Lindell finished 20
th in 11:14.59.
As for the USF Men's Team, three individuals placed in the top 13, including two in the top six of the 3K meet. USF, which is ninth in team points (7) through day one, received a fifth place finish from sophomore
Aaron Voigt, who clocked an 8:56.83. Sophomore
David Ecker also had a solid performance with an 8:59.32 clocking for sixth while freshman
Wyatt Schlager was 13
th in 9:34.37.
