Braden Wieking is one of the best kickers in USF Football history with 393 career points.
Wieking, a Sioux Falls, SD, native, holds the number 1 spot in kick scoring with 52 made field goals and 237 extra points while sitting second in all-time scoring for the Cougars. Wieking still holds the record for the longest field goal in USF history at 54 yards.
The four-time All-American tacked on numerous awards for his efforts on and off the field including five all-conference honors, Don Hansen All-Region honors and was named a Fred Mitchell Award Finalist. Wieking was named the 2009 NAIA Championship Offensive Player of the Game following the team's fourth national championship. He was also named to the Allstate Good Hands Team for his involvement outside athletics.
Wieking graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and then began working for Scheels, where he’s been ever since. He currently serves as a fishing buyer at the Scheels corporate office. Wieking and his wife, Kayla, reside in West Fargo, ND, with their daughter, Rollyns, and their two golden retrievers Riggley and Sampson.
